Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Songs and Albums of the 00s

It’s that time of the year again. Except this year ends in a 9, so we can cram an entire decade’s worth of music into a neat little set of numbers. I never know what to think of lists. When someone asks me my favorite artist of all time I have an anxiety attack and go into hiding for 48 hours. So the idea of ranking 10 years of music seems far-fetched for me. I will admit that it’s fun to read other peoples’ lists and decide what they did right and what they fucked up. What do you think of Rolling Stone’s list?

Sidenote: I will say this – If I did make a list, I think Yankee Hotel Foxtrot would be my album of the decade. I will also say this – I like the cover Rolling Stone came up with. That’s clever.

Lmao @ every Kanye album being in there.I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it (I'm a huge Kanye fan). But it just seems funny his entire career so far made it on there.

Only thing I don't like about the list is that Demon Days isn't anywhere. I think it should be at least in the top 25.But I'm pleased that all of Kanye's albums made the list. He deserves it after all the shit that's happened this year.

^How does Kanye deserve it based on what happened this year? He's the one who acted like a douche, and brought things upon himself.I'm not Kanye bashing, because I like his music. But I don't know how you could turn him into a victim.

I agree ^^^ Kanye definitely deserves all the props from Rolling Stone, but should not be made out to be a victim. I wanted to see Stadium Arcadium higher on the albums list!

Not Ready to Make Nice should have been way further up on the list. And, Taking the Long Way and Home should have definitely been on the Top 100 list.
